The Seven Spiritualists Principles and What They Mean

The Fatherhood of God
The Fatherhood of God was originally mediated in His creation of the world and the human race. The image of God is fully represented in both genders; men and women are equal heirs. This equality exists within the Divine’s holy order; just as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are equal and yet have a different position and function. God as spoken of by Jesus is no longer a father concept; He is father by direct address, the creative force, cause and effect. God, infinite intelligence, is the world, creation, and He is law.

The Brotherhood of Man
Brotherhood is generally universal in its meaning and application as one is a part of the universal life family. Since God is an integral part of every soul it follows that we are united together in His name. This principle means that it’s directed at a universal brotherhood and that we should treat every thing, especially things with a soul, as brothers and sisters, example - as a next of kin. The phrase brotherhood of man was used to include, not exclude women, we are all a part of God’s creation. The brotherhood of man is the social consequence of our relationship with the Creator for as we learn to assist and give service, we learn to accept the same.

The Communion of Spirits and the Ministry of Angels
We of Spiritualism bring out the basic difference between materialism and spiritualism, and, between Christianity and Spiritualism as a religion. Communication with departed spirits is the backbone of this religion. Mediums demonstrate the survival of life after death and have transformed philosophy from theory into reality. We communicate through the thought process as we receive messages and answers to our questions. Not only do we communicate with our departed spirit friends but to our guides, guardians and angels. Mediumship demonstrations have proven this beyond a doubt. Continuous existence of departed loved ones is a new comer’s first initial interest in attending a spiritualist church.

The Continuous Existence of the Human Soul
When the physical body dies the spirit continues-on in the astral plane, the spirit world. This world interpenetrates ours but in a different dimension. In the Spirit World we remain the same, with the same personality and characteristics. We change only by progression or as a result of our own efforts. Spirit is indestructible as with all matter and energy. Life is eternal and the soul cannot be destroyed. We exist and progress in spirit at our own pace and by our own efforts.

Personal Responsibility
We as individuals have freewill and sometimes we ignore it; we often pay the price or suffer the consequences when we do. Although God gave us freewill he also gave us total responsible for our words, our actions, our deeds and even our thoughts. We as a free soul are responsible for our total being - here on earth and hear-after. We have the power to make changes and that is our responsibility as well as everything else we do.

Compensation and Retribution for all deeds done on Earth
As with all the other principles natural law applies, and this principle indicates the Law of Cause and Effect, you reap what you sow. You cannot be cruel towards others and expect love in return. Compensation and retribution says to expect what you had given. When the cord is severed and we’ve found ourselves in the spirit world our spiritual life will be proportional to the good and evil deeds done while on the earth plane. The law of this principle starts here on earth and continues when in spirit. The world we’ve made for ourselves here will be what we’ll be introduced to and what we’ll receive there.

Eternal Progress open to every Human Soul
Spiritual progression is totally our responsibility and is in our own hands. It’s only by developing our individual spiritual qualities that we can progress. Progress demands sacrifice, which is not always easy. Our spiritual blessings are in proportion to the efforts we make. As we stimulate our own individual spiritual qualities the finer vibrations within our soul will rise to a higher divine spiral of spiritual progression in eternity. Our spiritual achievements are in proportion to service rendered to our fellow man and to all of God’s creation.
